April Austin- Matthews is a dynamic leader with a passion for service, education, and empowerment. With over 15 years of experience in higher education and a thriving career in real estate and healthcare entrepreneurship, she is the founder of Align Educators, MedSense Healthcare Options, and the host of the inspirational podcast Heart to Her.

She leads a team of caregivers across South Louisiana, and develops online courses for both youth and adults on topics ranging from the judicial system to African American studies. She holds a master’s degree in Higher Education and is pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration. A certified life coach and a licensed wedding officiant, April brings knowledge, passion, and authenticity to everything she touches.

Whether she’s speaking in a classroom, designing a new curriculum, officiating a wedding, or running a business — April leads with heart, purpose, and drive.

I am committed to guiding you through this transformative experience with passion, expertise, and dedication to your success. I included my contact information in the section above.  I have worked in the field of IT since 2002. My experience includes many aspects of daily IT tasks and the implementation of complex projects. IT has always been my passion; I built my first fully operational PC at 13. I also have a deep passion for cybersecurity and am a published author. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Devry University, my Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, and my Master of Education in Adult Education and Training. My degree programs were fully online, so I understand the challenges of online learning and the importance of instructor visibility and accessibility in the online learning environment. Besides being an instructor for SNHU, I work as a Chief Information and Technology Officer for a prominent government agency.
